Video presentation for a 2007 roadshow, storyboard, video recording, Flash, ActionScript.
Brief
A presentation to demonstrate new technologies and past accomplishments as part of an Edinburgh development team.
The Design
From the offset, the presentation needed to impress. I was asked to put together a clean design based around a series of supplied PowerPoint slides – content which was fairly dry.
By re-working each of these slides to be clean and highly visual, hand-crafted animations allowed me to seamlessly present each page of information in an eye-catching manner. This required the writing of a small ActionScript framework that allowed me to simply pull in animated elements on the fly having an enormous Flash timeline to manage.
Video
I worked on a basic script of questions and set-up talking-head videos shot with the staff members involved. I then edited down these videos to usable lengths, cutting the questions, leaving a documentary-style ‘interview’.

The final video presentation was distributed on DVD around the company
